The topic of bots has consumed my brain for close to a year. It was a challenge to understand how to write for them, I think today most of the creation is in the hands of developers and computer scientists, but I think the art of writing dialog should be in the hands of writers and editors. Thinking of starting a movement. 😉

The difficulty in building a chatbot is less a technical one and more an issue of user experience. The most successful bots will be the ones that users want to come back to regularly and that provide consistent value.
