Ponder. Conspire. Digitize.

I was on deadline today, so I had to get an early start. The deadline was critical, and I am not a morning person, so I asked my kid to set his alarm as a backup. And thank god I did!

He came in, right on time, and said, “mom get up,” I replied with, “I’m awake, to which he replied, “no, you have to stand up before I leave” (I taught him that).

Then when I got to my office, my inbox contained a new Seth Godin email about “The magic of the countdown.” I hardly ever get a chance to read his daily emails, but today I did, and I’m pretty sure he was talking straight to me.

It was a little after 8, and I needed to get a project off by noon EST. The clock set, the countdown started, I ran into NO computer issues, or writer’s block, the thoughts flowed, and I emailed that draft at precisely high noon.

Today, the Universe was conspiring to help me succeed. Thanks, Universe (and Calvin and Seth).
